Julia + Mike are the most likeable people you would ever want to meet. Relaxed, welcoming, unflappable and so very kind. And their day was a perfect reflection of exactly who they are as a couple.
Their late-September wedding at Whistle Bear Golf Club featured absolutely stunning weather, with the sun peeking through the scattered clouds at all the right moments and the fall colours just starting to make their appearance.
My second photographer Amber and I joined them close to the time of their ceremony, with the bride just getting into her dress and the groom on his way with his guys to join the celebration. The reception room looked stunning with minimal yet elegant florals by From The Potting Shed and the chapel was equally beautiful - sun-soaked and inviting for their guests.
Julia made her way down the aisle behind her adorable niece/flower girl to meet Mike at the altar, where they made their vows and sealed them with a kiss in front of their happy family and friends. After a few post-ceremony refreshments and family photos, we hopped on golf carts with the whole wedding party to take some more portraits. Except it turns out neither Amber or I know how to actually work a golf cart and we watched helplessly as everyone drove off without us. We found a gallant rescuer who showed us what we needed to do and we (laughingly) put the pedal to the metal and very slowly made our way to find the group. LOL
Portraits complete, we found our way back to the warm and cozy Terrace Room to dine and dance and party the night away. As we left, the dance floor was in full swing and everyone was having the time of their lives. Just what you would expect from a group of the nicest and most fun people you could imagine!
Thank you Mike + Julia for having us there to capture all the amazing moments of your day. We loved our time with you.
